How other organisations rate us:
A Best Companies top-100 ranking reflects staff satisfaction about their employers in areas such as leadership, wellbeing and personal growth. We are ‘one to watch’ in the Top 100 not-for-profit organisations in the UK 2020.
As a Mindful Employer, Broadland has access to mental health information, local support groups, awareness training and other resources. This allows us to support employees experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or other mental health conditions. It also makes it easier for employees to talk about their own mental health and wellbeing within the business. In 2019 we launched our team of staff Mental Health Champions and also signed Mind’s Time to Change pledge, to support conversations at work around mental health. We also have a team of 10 mental health champions who offer confidential peer support to staff.
Living Wage employers voluntarily make a commitment to pay their employees the real Living Wage rate, based on living costs. This is higher than the Government’s National Living Wage (introduced in 2016 for all staff aged over 25).
Stonewall works for acceptance without exception for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across Britain. As a diversity champion, we work hard to ensure that everyone working for us can carry out their work with confidence, without being bullied, harassed or needing to hide their sexual orientation. This in turn allows them to be confident in the workplace and reach their full potential.
Disability Confident gives us guidance and resources about recruiting and retaining disabled people for their skills and talent. As a Disability Confident employer we are helping to positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures.
RICS Inclusive Employer
Our Inclusive Employer Quality Mark from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) recognises that inclusivity is at the heart of what we do.
