We have very proudly named our new offices at Horsham, after our very first Chief Executive Martin Miller.
Martin was instrumental in building our very first scheme, Shipfields in Norwich. When Martin retired in 1991, we were providing 1,700 for families across Norfolk. Martin was also responsible for acquiring The Cedars off Albemarle Road, one of our much loved sheltered schemes and championing resident representation on the association’s Board.
We were very grateful to Martin’s three daughters, Alexandra, Louise and Charlotte who joined us on the day to celebrate.
Michael Newey said Broadland owes Martin a huge debt of gratitude. We will always be grateful for the homes he facilitated and brought into use, for his persistence, and for the foundations he laid for Broadland Housing, which we are still building on today.

Mr Miller’s daughter Alexandra added, “Dad loved working at Broadland, and it’s wonderful to see that so many of his core beliefs still stand today.
Home was an integral part of dad’s life, so the mission of providing good quality, affordable homes for as many people as possible was close to his heart.”
