UPDATE: The energy price cap rises on Friday 1st April 2022. It may be helpful to:
- Take and submit meter readings to your supplier on Friday 1st April or shortly before. This will help prevent you being charged at the increased rate if your energy company decides to estimate your reading. (You do not need to do this if you have a smart meter)
- If you have a pre-payment meter, it may be worth topping up your meter at the cheaper rate before Friday – see Money Saving Expert for more on this
